Agility Robotics: the funding headline leaves a crucial question open
10 September 2026 · Reconstructed sample · Research through 10 September 2026
What matters
Agility Robotics has operating customers, but its proposed listing still leaves important evidence gaps. We are watching for the public registration filing and the final funding outcome. Our research rating remains B, 4 out of 10.
Agility makes Digit, a humanoid robot that moves containers in warehouses and factories. The proposed combination with Churchill Capital Corp XI (CCXI) would bring it to the public market as AGLT. CCXI is the merger vehicle; Agility is the operating business.
Why it deserves attention
The existing research records Digit operating at nine customer facilities and more than $300 million of company-reported multi-year orders. The question is whether early deployments turn into a repeatable, economically viable business.
The headline funding figure is not guaranteed cash. Expected gross proceeds of about $622 million combine roughly $421 million in redeemable trust money with a $201 million private placement. Redemptions can reduce the trust portion before the transaction closes.
What tempers the case
The research records only $1.8 million of 2025 sales, against approximately $140 million of operating loss. An order headline is not the same as recognised revenue, and the proposed funding maximum is not the final cash balance.
As of this review, the registration statement had remained confidential for 58 days, since its 14 July submission, and no merger vote date had been established. Those unresolved questions matter more to the business case than a short-term movement in the shares.
What we're watching next
The public registration statement: what does it substantiate about the orders, their conditions and the financial position?
The merger vote and redemptions: how much cash will actually reach the business? Neither checkpoint has a confirmed date in this review. We will report a substantive development when one is available.
Until then, this remains a company under investigation, not a new A-rated discovery. B means the evidence has not reached our strongest group; it does not mean the business has been disproved.
Elsewhere on the list
No company changed score in this review. Today's useful finding is the distinction between potential funding and the amount that will actually be available.
